How It Started
Watching a child ride or work with a horse and seeing the transformation of that child with a past of pain and brokenness to that of hope, I know I witnessed first-hand the Spirit touch another precious young life. That is what He Reigns Rescue Ranch’s mission is all about.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do”

We all have God-given talents, gifts, passions and dreams but most importantly… a God-given purpose. I vividly remember as a child, my horse and I galloping across an open field with the wind whipping through my hair and wiping the tears from my eyes. I felt no greater freedom as I trusted my horse of great strength and mighty power.
He Reigns Rescue Ranch is that place of freedom and a place of trust for horses and children. It was heavily placed on my heart to rescue horses and to help rescue children with deep pain and brokenness. Our strong faith and trust in Jesus Christ is the foundation to this ranch. Horses find relief and trust. Children we mentor find freedom. The freedom from past pain. There is help and healing through horses. There is hope. The hope and freedom in Him of great power and truth. He who gives us the strength to carry us through all our pain and trials of this life.

Shortly after a trip out West to Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch’s 2007 Seminar in Bend, Oregon, the dream to start a ranch to save horses and reach children took off. Crystal Peaks has mentored and encouraged the start of many similar Ranch Ministries throughout the country. After attending the 2013 and 2014 Ranch Leadership Conferences, their continued wisdom and guidance has helped further H triple R’s mission here in Niles, Michigan. Deep gratitude goes to Troy & Kim Meeder and all their amazing dedicated Ranch staff and volunteers. But most importantly, it is the result of powerful prayer, faith and guidance of the Lord and of many here in our hometown and surrounding area that help carry and support He Reigns Rescue Ranch. Here at the Ranch, we have witnessed amazing changes in the lives of many children… an empowerment, a bond and trust with their horse and ranch mentor. Most amazingly, a healing through their new found hope and truth in Jesus Christ. We give all praise, honor and glory to Him!
